Our best-kept secret, until now… A new advertising campaign launched by the St. Louis CVC tells the story that STL natives already know- St. Louis is an ideal vacation destination for those looking for world-class entertainment and attractions, without the hassles and expense of many other cosmopolitan cities. Word is spreading of the caliber of offerings easily enjoyed during a getaway to St. Louis. This message is supported with TV, print, radio and online ads which will run through June.
The ADDY Awards is the largest creative competition in the country with about 55,000 local entries competing in over 200 cities coast to coast.
We came home from the St. Louis ADDY Awards held in February with one Best of Show ADDY, nine ADDY Awards and 18 Certificates of Excellence. Whew! Winning work included TV, Out-of-Home, Print and Radio.
Keep your fingers crossed for our three Silver ADDYs, which won at the District level and have gone on to be part of the National ADDY awards taking place on June 10, 2008.
Not to be outdone, our San Francisco mates also cleaned up at their ADDYs in March with 16 ADDY medals, including a bronze medal for our 2007 agency holiday card.
Elisabeth Johnson joined us in April as an Assistant Account Executive. She comes to us with an undergraduate marketing degree from Eastern Illinois University and her MBA from SIUE. She previously got paid to calculate large sums at AG Edwards.
Dan Cady joined us as a copywriter full of fresh ideas from his stint at Mullen in North Carolina. Originally from South Texas (Corpus Christi), he’s a huge sports fan and has been playing soccer since he was 5. Then he went to UT, became a slightly obsessive Longhorn fan and believes Vince Young will cure cancer one day.
Summer Interns: Welcome Maddie Eldridge, copywriter intern, and Sandeep Batavia, art director intern. Both are recent grads from Webster University.
